Martial arts and Karate experience
- 1966 to 1973 : Judo practice under the direction of Robert Plomb in Mons, Frans De Doncker in Antwerp and Mr De Decker in Bruges
- 1970 to 1971 : Ju-Jutsu practice in Antwerp under the direction of Frans De Donker
- 1980 to 1995 : Karate practice under the direction of Richard Prospero, in the Sankukai School of Master Nambu followed by the Kenshikan Kusano-ha-shitoryu School of Master Kenji Kusano
- Since 1995 Karate practice in the Shitoryu School of Master Mabuni represented by Master Hidetoshi Nakahashi and directed in Belgium by Franco Belli
- Has participated in many individual and team Kumite championships K.C.Ganshoren of Richard Prospero (finals of the Belgian Championship ABK-BKA 1984, 1985 and 1991)
- Participation in many advanced courses abroad
- Regular participation in different trainings and clinics of the Shitoryu school as well as of other styles
- Leads regularly clinics in different Karate clubs
- Has been involved in different federal positions : FFK and BKF administrator, responsible of different pedagogical commissions and head of the FFK Grading Commission
- Has trained different FFK and BKF champions, some of them having been member of the Belgian National Team
- Currently President of the GFK Grading Commission
